A question...

Am hoping some RNRIs will write in. When things don't go your way in India - the gas is out, the maid doesn't show up, traffic -- what do you do? Is there a magic thing I can say or do to keep from getting so angry and cursing a whole country instead of that piece of the puzzle...

Hi, we are an R2I (Returned to India) family also with a daughter. We returned last year and have been going through all the school hoopla as well as everything else. It is pretty hard, and we have to accept that things move at a reallllly different pace. Cursing wont get you anything. Anyway we have found that we slowly acclimatize ourselves so that cursing gives way to muttering, and then acceptance and even expectation! Enjoyed your blog and school article in the Mint.
